Junior Sales Manager / Junior Key Account Manager – Asia Pacific Region (all genders)

This junior role focuses on executing sales plans in the Asia-Pacific region with a strong emphasis on identifying and developing new customers and markets. With approximately 3 to 5 business trips per year to APAC, the position involves more hands-on sales activities, client interaction, and market entry support rather than high-level strategy.
Place of work: Frankfurt am Main, full-time, permanent position
Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute day-to-day sales activities including customer acquisition and account management in APAC.
  • Identify and qualify new market opportunities with guidance from senior management.
  • Support the onboarding and relationship building with distributors and key customers in high-growth markets like Vietnam and South Korea.
  • Participate in sales calls, trade shows, and client visits during scheduled APAC travel.
  • Collect market and competitor information to provide practical insights.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely order processing and customer satisfaction.
  • Report sales progress and challenges regularly to management.
Required Qualifications:
  • Around 3 years of sales, technical support, or related experience ideally in food ingredients, pharmaceutical raw materials, or chemicals.
  • Fluent in German and English; additional language skills in Chinese (Mandarin), Korean, or Vietnamese are a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural environment and willingness to travel 3 to 5 times yearly to APAC.
  • Strong communication, customer service orientation, and eagerness to learn.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or related field preferred.
